What We’re All About

Make It. MSP. is a movement of individuals and organizations working together to make the Minneapolis-Saint Paul region the best place in the world for talented people to come, stay, and thrive.

We believe the Minneapolis-Saint Paul region is the best place in the world. It’s people who make it great. We are committed to our community and to solving problems that matter. We work hard and take the time to enjoy life. We collaborate better than any place in the world.

Make It. MSP. is an initiative to make this an even better place for people to come, stay, and thrive. Our ambition is to make the region a top performer attracting and retaining talented people. Achieving that ambition requires strong partnership. That’s why leaders at more than 100 organizations work together through the Make It. MSP. platform.

Projects of Make It. MSP include:

MSP Hello

Moving to a new community isn’t always easy. Fortunately the MSP Hello team is here to help welcome our newest neighbors and help facilitate meaningful connections to their new home. Through signature events, local meetups, and incredible partnerships we are connecting newcomers to each other and the broader community. And through the creation of newcomer guides our team is working to introduce people to the best local resources to answer their questions.

This team is comprised of radically welcoming people from organizations and communities throughout the region. Join the thousands of newcomers who have subscribed to updates and participated in MSP Hello programming, or look into how you can volunteer and help welcome your coworkers, neighbors, family, and friends to the area.

Be MSP

We strive to foster workplaces and communities where everyone can belong, acknowledging that professionals of color have long felt excluded in the Greater MSP region. Creating this culture of belonging is imperative in building a stronger region – a region that attracts professionals of color who thrive here and stay here. The BE MSP team is creating a culture of belonging that goes beyond acceptance to embrace each individual’s lasting imprint on the whole.

The BE MSP team is run in collaboration by leaders from all sectors of the region working in partnership through Make It. MSP. The BE MSP team hosts social and professional events with partners like the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce. It builds tools like the BE MSP Workplace Toolkit. And it seeks to elevate stories of professionals of color throughout the region.
