Let Our Team Introduce You to MSP

We love exploring the great outdoors

MSP is home to the nation’s top-rated parks systems, enjoyed by locals during all four seasons. Past MSP Hello events have included outings with the Department of Natural Resources, kayaking along the Mississippi River with Paddle Share, group hiking with REI, and even the region’s largest snowball fight at Fort Snelling State Park.

We're a major league sports city

MSP is home to every major professional sport. One single light rail line connects the homes of the region’s NBA, WNBA, MLB, MLS, NHL, and NFL teams as well as the University of Minnesota campus and minor league baseball. MSP Hello has partnered with local sports teams like Minnesota United FC and the Minnesota Timberwolves to help newcomers connect with each other while taking in their first local game.

We're a top food & drink destination

From neighborhood favorites to national award winners, MSP has been recognized as one of the country’s best places to eat and drink. MSP Hello events have included dinners hosted by local restaurateurs like Kim Bartmann and meetups at the many of the region’s top breweries and distilleries.

We have plenty of fun at festivals

From block parties to cultural celebrations, there’s a fair or festival happening nearly every day in MSP. The MSP Hello team has partnered with Northern Lights.mn to connect thousands of people to the Northern Spark all-night, outdoor art festival each summer. Other past events include meetups at neighborhood parties like Bastille Day. From The Great Northern during winter to the Minnesota State Fair in summer, there’s always somewhere to connect.

We take pride in our amazing museums

MSP is home to some of the world’s most incredible museums, and our MSP Hello team has already partnered to explore quite a few. Past events at the Minnesota History Museum, Minneapolis Institute of Art, Walker Art Center, and Science Museum of Minnesota have helped thousands of newcomers explore local institutions with other new friends.

We boast amazing bike paths and trails

MSP bike trails are among the best in the world. Past MSP Hello events have included Biking 101 with Our Streets MPLS and promotions with partners like Nice Ride. And we know what you’re thinking, “What about winter?” This video provides a glimpse into what it’s like to be a winter bicyclist in MSP.
